Sugiyamatei

OMU-goodness, I love this restaurant. This local space is typically full and reservations are too! Call ahead of time to book, especially if you have a party of 2 or more! If you’re eating solo, they have space for 3 individuals at the counter. The store has a small interior with one table outdoors as well. Very cutely decorated in an olden day, American style. The couple comprises of server and head chef. They only have a Japanese menu, but the best dish for me is their curry omurice! I was shocked at the amount of ketchup used, but surprisingly it did not take overwhelming. The curry is quite standard but the cream mixed together with it is next level! Really delicious and filling. A small salad comes with a light and fresh dressing. Comfortable atmosphere with high quality food. I will return again for another delicious, warm meal.

A famous Western restaurant near Nishi-Koyama Station is [Sugiyama-tei].
Since you can't make reservations for lunch, I was prepared to line up after 12:00 on weekdays, but luckily I was able to get in without lining up. It was safe because they started lining up due to the difference in touch. Dinner reservations can be made.

I was having trouble deciding on a hamburger steak, but since it was my first time, I decided on the Sugiyama-tei style omelet rice for 1,150 yen! Comes with mini salad and consommé soup.

The chicken rice and egg are topped with a generous amount of rich demi-glace sauce, and from the looks of it, it's a mouth-watering sensation. The chicken rice inside has crunchy onions in it so you won't get tired of it.
Although the flavor was quite strong, I finished it thinking that I would become addicted to this unique taste.

The young chicken stew in tomatoes, hamburgers, and beef stew are also tempting, so I'd like to make a reservation for the evening as well.
