I don't remember already where did I find this place, but I must say that their hamburg steak is a masterpiece. It is part of the lunch menu and for around 1000 yen you get the entire set meal with an egg topping, which I felt it was indispensable.

Ogikubo is a city where you can feel the waves of the times, with the long-established ramen shop Harukiya going completely cashless.
“Tsubaki-tei” is a Western restaurant located right behind Harukiya.
As soon as you open the door, there are stairs and the shop is on the second floor.
The lively kitchen is broadcast live on a large monitor in the spacious interior.

Most of the lunch menus are under 1,000 yen.
I decided to try the popular hamburger steak.
For an additional 400 yen, I was told that I could add roux-only curry, so I ordered that as well.

It comes with a side salad, hamburger steak, and pasta with noodles as thick as vermicelli.
Curry is served in a small bowl on a plate.
Also, egg soup and a large amount of rice came in a bowl.

After all, the sauce is delicious!
The slightly sour tomato sauce mixes with the juicy meat juices from the hamburger steak to create an exquisite sauce!
With its light and refreshing taste, it changed the concept of Western restaurant = demi glas sauce.

This is definitely less than 1,000 yen!
