Bistro Yen

A bistro opening in December 2022, located right outside Kayabacho Station Exit 10.
This is located in a corner of BANK, a complex that is a renovated former bank.
There are four shops here: bistro ``yen'', bakery ``bank'', flower shop ``fete'', and coffee bar ``coin''.

Inside the store, the original safe is still intact, giving the space a sense of history that is unique to Kabutocho.
The customer base ranges from people in their 20s to 60s, and I get the impression that there are a lot of people going on dates or with women (male to female ratio of 2:8).

This bistro is famous for its pasta, and when you order pasta, it comes with a salad and homemade bread.
All the dishes are elegant and the combination of ingredients is unique.
The pasta has a chewy texture and goes perfectly with the sauce.
The beer-braised pork cheeks and asparagus rice in a clay pot also had a flavor that was a fusion of Japanese and Western essences.

An impressive visual of a large tomato sitting on top of pasta.
The chewy fresh pasta is covered with a rich tomato cream sauce.
The bitterness of the rape blossoms and the refreshing sweetness of the kumquats are accents, creating a good balance.
The soft scent of parsley further tightens the flavor.

・Beer-braised pork cheek & asparagus rice in clay pot
The slowly stewed pork cheek is surprisingly creamy and full of flavor.
The stew sauce coats it well and goes perfectly with the rice.
The asparagus clay pot rice has a Western feel, but it has a comforting Japanese taste.
We recommend sharing it with two people so you can enjoy both the pasta and clay pot rice!

It would have been nice to have a relaxing lunch while drinking wine. Due to work, I had a limited time, so I had to eat quickly and leave quickly. .
They will replace your lunch bread, and you can enjoy a variety of different types.
Also, the food in general was delicious. However, I would be happy if there was something a little cheaper on the lunch menu.

I made a reservation for the 11:30 session. Since it was a long weekend, the place was fully booked. I was wondering whether to buy bread at BANK for breakfast, but this was the right answer! The course came with BANK bread. The staff brought me different breads over and over again, so I was able to enjoy them. The most important dishes were also very delicious, and since the menu only listed the ingredients, it was fun to imagine what kind of dishes would be served.The delicate seasoning that brought out the flavors of the ingredients was wonderful. Easy cookies for small sweets. It was a lineup that grabbed my attention from beginning to end. If you're a drinker, I think it's also a good deal that you can get a pairing wine for 2,400 yen (3 glasses).

The wines are light-tasting whites and reds.
The white is Australian BLANC, a blend of Chardonnay and Riesling based on Sauvignon Blanc.
The red is grenache from southern France.

The wine was too light and I didn't really like it, but there were only two wine options each by the glass, so I guess it can't be helped.

I was hoping that the bread would be delicious.
I feel like the ones I buy at bank bakeries are more delicious. I wonder what it is.
We had an amuse croissant and two types of sourdough during the meal.

The most delicious thing was the blancmange.
Ease's small sweets are also somewhat compared to the ones you buy at ease...

Most of the customers were women. The towels were aromatic and felt good. At first, I was going to go to BANK, but yen was the correct answer. BANK bread will be served for lunch. The staff brings a different bread each time and also toasts the bread, so you can enjoy a variety of delicious breads. The last sweet was a baked confectionery from Ease, which I was interested in at every shop, so I was very satisfied. I was looking forward to seeing what would come out every time, as the menu listed ingredients that I couldn't even imagine.
