The food was spectacular! The price was affordable and the service was amazing. I recommended trying the fried chicken skin and their grilled pork belly. The only down side is that there were people smoking and it made the atmosphere a little bit bad. But overall great food. Would recommend coming here.

We stopped in here for a late breakfast at the opening at 10:00. You could come anytime and this would hit beautifully.

The horsemeat motsu is to die for - originally we had just planned on sharing one plate, but had to order another as we needed to eat more of it! The fat is rendered and the meat is tender, with a slight gaminess that makes the whole dish pop. The skewers are no lesser, as we started with the assorted organs (all wonderful) and added shishito peppers and more liver and tongue afterwards. I washed mine down with some hot sake - that’ll clear your sinuses in the morning.

Love the smoky atmosphere and the train rumbling overhead, not to mention the incredible prices. Mandatory and singlehandedly makes a trip to Ueno worthwhile.

Awesome place to stay. Nice innards like uterus liver etc. Korean Salat tastes really authentic and you have to drink the hot sake. English Menu available. Stuff is really friendly. Long waiting line inside the restaurant on Saturday. Tool it’s are very clean. Smoking allowed. Price range is standard.

This place is apparently very famous cheap Izakaya spot in Ueno area. Their Motsuni (the stew thing in big pot) is actually really good. I’m not big fan of these kind of corner shop but I was fairly impressed with flavor. Everyone is very friendly and u can definitely feel “Showa” if u get drink there.
If you care about cleanness or health issues too much, definitely not a place to go.
