Ebisu Sushi Ogino

Great balance of unusual and typical nigiri sushi, all of superior quality. I was expecting more red vinegar goodness from seeing other photos, but it was mostly quite subtle.

When I lived there, the Saikyo Line had not yet opened, and the station building was dilapidated and had the feel of a deserted local station.

However, I think that even back then, the name ``Ebisu'' was popular at Yamanote Line stations as a ``city of good fortune'' and ``a town for adults with few children,'' perhaps because it was reminiscent of Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods.

In the first place, the origin of the name Ebisu is said to have come from the ``Ebisu Beer Factory.'' When a freight station exclusively for shipping beer opened, it became ``Ebisu Bus Stop,'' and before we knew it, Ebisu Station and the surrounding area also became known as ``Ebisu.'' It began to.
However, now that site has been transformed into Garden Place, and it has become a landmark of modern Ebisu, so this town is home to Sapporo Beer.

I lived across the station from the West Exit for 8 years and from the East Exit for 7 years, and the area around the West Exit retains its old-fashioned town atmosphere, and with the progress of redevelopment, the number of Italian and Hawaii-related shops has increased. I have the impression that it is the east exit.

One of the reasons may be that the shopping district is concentrated at the west exit, but the fact that small independent shops are still open is in contrast to Ebisu, which is more cutting-edge, and I hope it continues to exist. I just hope so.

Sushi Ogino is on the 4th floor of the relatively new commercial building Granbell Ebisu Nishi.

There are many really good hidden stores around this area, such as Caved Champagne Divant, TACUBO, YORONIKU...the list is endless.

However, strangely enough, there have never been any good sushi restaurants in this area, which could be called a vacuum zone for sushi.
If anything, there were a lot of Italian restaurants, French and Chinese cuisine were predominant, and I felt that Japanese cuisine was being pushed out.

However, if you research carefully, there are many good restaurants, so I decided to visit Ogino-san in order to open up a new Japanese restaurant in Ebisu.

I ordered a trial omakase course in a private room.
The atmosphere was good and it was easy to have family conversations in the private room.
At the beginning of the course, I was asked if there were any foods I didn't like or couldn't eat, and I felt that they were being taken into consideration.
In addition to sushi, we enjoyed a variety of other items such as grilled fish and sashimi.
It's about 80% full in terms of quantity, and you can add more a la carte at the end, so I think you'll be satisfied.
The vinegared rice was also made with red vinegar, and although it felt a little strong, it was delicious.
