Came here on Saturday night with my wife for our one year wedding anniversary on our last night in Japan.
Maybe it was because it was a rainy Saturday night in the business district but we ended up being the only two people there on the night. It certainly made for a subdued ambience but chef Adachi Naoto and his assistant seemed to put in at least as much dedication as if it was a full restaurant. The waitress was also lovely and while her English wasn't all that much stronger than my very limited Japanese we had no trouble ordering wine and sake to go with a very impressive kaiseki degustation.
The genius of each dish seemed to be in its simplicity, with very delicate, subtle and refined options presented lovingly and attentively. I don't know if this was an added bonus thanks to the lack of other diners but we were presented with two courses not listed on the printed menu as well so while each dish was fairly restrained we were only just able to fit dessert in when it arrived.
While it certainly wasn't a cheap night out it was definitely a memorable on and a fantastic note to finish our two weeks in Japan on.

Wonderful Michelin one star restaurant. The owner / chef prepares the omakase meal in full view, which was great to watch.
