Ginza Sushi Marui

I had a most pleasant dining experience with a bit of luck. Get there right at opening or slightly before or else the place fills up quickly! The course sets of nigiri start around 4,500 yen as of November 2023. Very worth it for the level of food and service provided. The sets come with egg custard and a small appetizer as well. Extremely delicious and would not hesitate to come here again! 😋

Again, need to emphasize, this place fills up right at opening. I came inside a minute after they opened and it was empty. 15 minutes after opening, people came flooding in and there were no more seats available.

Totally enjoyed dining at this authentic sushi restaurant. The ambience was great, the service staff was superb and the food was absolutely awesome. We tried the Tsukiji sashimi platter and all the sashimi were fresh and sweet. We actually ordered repeated dishes (Japanese Egg omelette) which was included in the set, and the chef decided to cancel out our additional order and gave us extra nigiri sushi FOC. At the end of the meal, the chef even came out to the front and gave my kids snacks to bring home, knowing that we were tourists (obviously from our language). Really very very impressed by the food and service from this place.

We went to the restaurant to Q just before their dinner operating hours. Despite it being fully booked and us not having a reservation, the staff seated us on condition that we return the tables in about an hour (which was more than enough time for us to finish our meal comfortably). Seating for family of 4 was comfortable although there are bar counter seats in front of the chef for those who don’t mind bar seats.

Food price is on the premium side, but for this quality of sashimi and nigiri sushi, it was well worth every Yen. Highly recommended and will come back again surely.

Stopped by Ginza Sushi Marui for dinner. Thanks to another reviewer’s tip, we arrived about half hour before opening to be seated. We were first in line. At 5 PM sharp they opened and we were seated at a table downstairs across from the sushi bar where the chefs were. They have a nice sushi ‘set’ for first timers. It was 4500 yen and well worth the price. Many other places in Ginza start at 10,000 yen and need a reservation. The set came with a small appetizer, a beautiful selection of sushi, miso soup, custard, and a dessert. We also ordered the assorted tuna sushi which was very good. They have more tables upstairs but we enjoyed being downstairs where the chefs were. Atmosphere was no frills. Wish the music in the background was slightly louder to fill the room as it was very faint when we were there. Highly recommend checking it out.

Extremely fresh sushi at relatively reasonable prices. Came here for dinner on a weekday and it was packed. Good mix of tourists and locals. English menus available.

Get the sushi set as it’s the best bang for your buck. You can add on dishes on the side if that’s not enough. Everything was fantastic.

Highlights were the chutoro (fatty and rich), uni (creamy & decadent) & oysters (fresh!). Service was terrific as well. Highly recommended

I like this restaurant it’s one of the best sushi restaurants in Japan. Our friends recommended to us and I recommended to everybody very nice and delicious food.
