Ginza West Bay Cafe Yokohama

This cafe is tucked away in Takashimaya. There's usually a queue since there's only about 10 tables for groups and a good number of people are just there by themselves. Queuing is done on a tablet, and there's an option to leave your phone number so they'll call you when it's your turn.

I had a pancake and drink since a lot of reviews said they were good. What I didn't realize before going was that the drinks included free refills which explained their price, and I probably ended up having too many café lattes than is healthy. My pancake was just plain with butter and maple syrup. I didn't have a ruler but the pancake was decently big (diameter bigger than my phone), and roughly an inch thick at the thickest point. It's not a souffle pancake but actual cakey pancake. I've had a lot of pancakes in that style that left my mouth feeling weird but this one didn't! To which I can only assume that they didn't use too much stabilizer to keep it up.

To sum: expensive, probably need to wait for a seat but good pancake and refillable drinks.

A cafe in Ginza West on the 3rd floor of Yokohama Takashimaya. I visited around 3:00 PM on a weekday, and the reception display on the waiting machine showed 11 groups waiting, and I was called after about 30 minutes. The atmosphere inside the store was calm and aimed at an older age group.
I was shown many sample cakes and chose the matcha chiffon cake. The matcha chiffon had small pieces of chestnuts in the matcha cream and was very delicious.
My friend ordered pancakes, but they were so thick and large that one piece seemed to fill her up. I like that drinks at this restaurant are free of charge. I would definitely use it again.
