Inshotei

In the Ueno park, it looks small in front but actually quite some seats and tables inside.

We passed by after the long museum walk, starving.

Selected one of the sets which I LOVE the tofu appetiser, 3 different dishes all made in tofu but completely different textures and tastes.

The rice is also very tasty, it’s not just plain rice, nor sushi rice, it has a savoury flavour that I couldn’t stop eating.

Sitting in the noon sun in a cold day with delicious food, unforgettable experience.

It was the first night of my March 2023 trip to Japan, and I decided I wanted to go somewhere special. Thankfully, there was a seat available at Inshotei. The food was lovely, the service friendly, and the braziers were burning on a cold, early Spring night. It was the perfect beginning to my holiday.

We were lucky to get a table without reservation on Saturday. It’s such a nice traditional Japanese lunch. The food was beautifully presented. There are so many different varieties of food in the set menu and each one of them is prepared in different ways.
