とってもおいしい! It was a pleasure indulging in this omakase experience. The wide variety of seafood was fresh and there were also aged options. Each dish was well prepared from start to finish and the chef explained what we were having using a handbook 😂

I'd give 6 stars if I could.
The best fish I've ever eaten, and the chef and his team were incredibly nice and professional. For foreigners like us, the chef had two books with pictures and descriptions of the fish we were served. The Sake recommendations were also great and paired with the dishes.
If you've never done something like that: This is a rather special kind of dining. You need a reservation and it isn't cheap since you get absolute top quality. The chef is preparing food directly in front of you and serving it to you over the course of the evening. It's a small and intimate atmosphere, but not too formal either.
Overall, we'd definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to experience Japanese fine dining.

A great and memorable experience.

We were lucky enough to secure seats for four at the last minute with the help of our concierge.

The story we were told is that the chef here worked at a famous, Tokyo, Michelin-starred sushi restaurant for the last 15 or so years where he was the assistant to the main chef. And now he has struck out on his own to establish this restaurant, ironically at the original location of the restaurant he had worked at for 15 years.

Service was impeccable. Food was amazing. Each dish was explained in detail as Chef opened his English/Japanese sushi reference book to the appropriate page for each dish he served.

Sometimes the “rules” at a high-end sushi restaurant like this can feel a little constraining. Refreshingly, Chef’s attitude was more “as you like it“ which was a welcome change.

Cost was about $300 each, which, although no small amount, felt fair in terms of the value of the food, service, and overall experience.

Can’t wait to go back.
