Very nice place for seasonal Japanese dishes and sake. Reservation is required.

Super friendly staff. The food was excellent and unpretentious.

The soup stock from the shellfish works well and is very delicious!

The hangover pervades my body and I end up drinking all the soup.

To finish off the meal, I used the soup left over from the pickled rice bowl to make chazuke (chazuke), which was also delicious! !

●Quality of sashimi with outstanding freshness
The most impressive thing about the course menu was the quality of the sashimi.
In particular, the grilled golden sea bream was exquisite. The aroma of the seared skin and the sweetness of the meat were in perfect harmony, and the texture was enjoyable.
The bluefin tuna and bonito were also fresh and had just the right amount of fat, each offering a different flavor. The salt and soy sauce that came with the dish were carefully selected and brought out the quality of the ingredients. A lot of effort is put into each piece of sashimi, making it a simple yet profound dish that you can enjoy.

-A number of appetizers that give you a sense of the season
The salads and appetizers served in small bowls also had a seasonal feel and were very satisfying. All of the dishes were elaborate, such as the salad with the refreshing scent of garland chrysanthemums and the sourness of mozuku vinegar as a pleasant accent. What particularly impressed me was the komatsuna dipping sauce, which was soaked in the soup stock and really brought out the flavor of the ingredients. Each dish makes use of seasonal ingredients, and has a charm that makes you want to come back again and again throughout the year.

●Exquisite pairing with sake
The sake that was served with the food was also very impressive. In particular, the ``Tazake'' had a sweet taste that went perfectly with the mozuku vinegar and salt soba. The pairing brought out the flavors of the dishes even more, and the delicate aroma and taste of the sake harmonized with the food. With 5 pairings of 100ml each, we were able to enjoy different sake with each dish, which made the whole meal richer and more fulfilling.

●Surprise and satisfaction of salt soba at the end
The salt soba served at the end of the course exceeded my expectations in a good way.
Scallops and chicken breast chashu were used generously, and the soup was packed with the flavor of seafood. It had a refreshing yet deep flavor and was the perfect ending to the course. The techniques of the shop, which also operates as a ramen shop, were put to good use, and each bite left me feeling more satisfied. I felt that this salt soba alone was worth revisiting.

“Miyaho” is a hidden gem in Otsuka that is known for its cuisine that makes use of seasonal ingredients and the pairing of Japanese sake.
I could feel the solid skill and attention to detail in each dish, such as the sashimi and salt soba, and it was a very satisfying dining experience. On the other hand, new customers should be aware that the ordering system may seem a little complicated and that credit cards cannot be used. Still, I felt that it was well worth a visit as a restaurant where you can enjoy a good balance of Japanese tradition and creativity.
