Ramen Jiro Mita Honten

If you wanna have a straightforward hardcore Japanese Jiro Ramen, go here! Its all about the service and simple but strong flavoured food. Only ramen served, flavour is more to a specific type then mix of various flavours. Even at 8:30am there was already a line of locals. The portions are HUGE! I am a huge foodie and ordered the regular and not the double pork and still was struggling. If you're into the very local experience and like not only the popular Ramen type, this is THE place.

I hit up Jiro’s since it was second to last day in Tokyo. I decided to go on a Monday around 9am and was seated within 20 minutes. It had been raining the last few hours so this the perfect time for a bowl of ramen. So place only holds about 12 people so plan accordingly. It’s well worth the wait as this ramen was INCREDIBLE. You get huge thick slices of roast pork, the noodles were nicely cooked and soaked up the broth well. The added garlic and sprouts make it a rather hearty meal. Be prepared to come on an empty stomach as their 600 yen option (top left/purple button) was more than adequate.

A classic, bold and rough meaty fatty ramen. Need to be very hungry to finish it as the portion is very big.
