Very local and cozy soba and udon place, make sure to try the kenchin soup.

A soba and udon restaurant located about 4 minutes walk from Akabanebashi Station.
Visited for lunch on a weekday.

It is a long-established store that has articles published in magazines and guidebooks, and magazine introduction pages are also displayed at the store.
There were about 6 people waiting when we arrived around 12:30.

I heard that the udon/soba Aimori (1200 yen) and Kenchin soup (400 yen) are famous, so I ordered them.

I'll take it then.
The udon noodles are flattened and have a moderately soft and chewy texture.
The soba noodles have a nice crisp texture.
The soup is relatively average, but the two types of noodles are delicious, so you can enjoy it easily.

The famous kenchin soup is piping hot and filled with soft stewed carrots, daikon radish, taro, and other toppings.
You can also enjoy it as tsukemen or as kenchin udon or soba noodles.

I think it will be more satisfying if it goes well with Kenchin soup.

Despite its location at the back of a residential area, far from Tamachi Station and Akabanebashi, the restaurant has a high percentage of regulars who come here often. Moreover, it is surprising to hear the conversations of customers who often come from far away.
Because it's such a shop, if customers are lining up before the store opens at 11am, the proprietress is always customer-friendly. It's interesting that outside of winter, most people eat udon and soba as a set with kenchin soup. But it actually fits well. When it has become commonplace to always choose either soba or udon, I think other restaurants should introduce the two if they are delicious.
The kenchin soup is miso-based, has three or four large daikon radish, and the burdock root is soft and delicious. And, as is common in such stores, the toilets are not good enough. But let's go again!
