I went to Chinese Restaurant Suikai, a restaurant on the 2nd floor about a 2-minute walk from Asagaya Station, and had the authentic Sichuan mapo tofu (spicy) for 1,200 yen from the lunch menu ♡

I wanted to eat some delicious mapo tofu, so I went to Suikai, which I've been to several times! It's close to the station, so it's easy to use, and the store is clean and has plenty of seating.

The lunch menu has a variety of options to choose from, so it costs around 1,200 yen for lunch, but it comes with salad and zaka choy (free refills of rice, soup, and pickles), so the cost performance is not bad⸜(ˊᗜˋ*)⸝

I went to the store around 1:30pm, and there were seats available, so I was guided smoothly. There were only a few other customers. I'm glad I can put it in right away because the capacity is wide♪♪

I had decided to eat it, so I took a quick look at the menu and ordered the authentic Sichuan mapo tofu (spicy)! Is it okay if it's painful when ordering? That's what he asks. . Was it that painful? That's what I ordered. I like spicy food ♡

Arrived after waiting for about 5 minutes! Another great thing about Chinese food is that it is served quickly ٩(>ω

A long-established Chinese restaurant in Asagaya. We also have private rooms, so we can accommodate dinner parties for about 8 people.
I had a course meal that day, and it was great to be able to enjoy authentic and delicious Chinese food from appetizers to main dishes.
I especially liked the appetizers with plenty of Japanese pepper, the cutlet with sour bean paste, and the mapo tofu. Mapo goes well with numbingly spicy rice, and Shaoxing wine goes well with it.

It's fried in Chinese-style potato starch, stir-fried with sweet and sour sauce, and has a good balance of seasoning.
The chicken is thighs, but is it a bit over fried? It lacks a moist feel.

`I only recommend vinegar because it's seasoned,'' says Mama.
The thick skin is typical of Chinese food.
A luxurious dish with a gentle seasoning of ground meat, sweetness, and shrimp.
The grilling was not crispy and oil remained in the stomach.
It seems that `Boiled Gyoza'' is the best type of gyoza in Suikai.

There is a table in the back that can accommodate 10 to 15 people, and if there is a banquet there, it might be a bit lively.

Chinese-style dried tofu and zha cai are both delicious and not too salty!
The salad was made with store-bought sesame dressing, which would have been great if it had a typical Chinese dressing, but it was a bit disappointing.

The minced pork and cotton are not very thick, smooth, and sweet, so I wonder if they mask the salt and smell of the bean sauce and bean drum.
Not possible.
By the way, it's not the sweetness of sweet soy sauce.

The taste is more sophisticated and easy to eat, rather than the simple Sichuan-like flavors of Chen Jianmin's disciples, such as minced beef and drained cotton.
The numbness is quite effective, but it doesn't feel like it's going to numb my lips.
Personally, I don't mind if it's stronger, it's Sichuan cuisine.

What bothers me is the smell of the rice.
It's not the smell of new rice, but you can tell the moment you put it on.
I hope it's just a coincidence this time.

The staff is friendly, so they seem to listen to my requests for spiciness, etc., and the dried tofu was chewy, seasoned, and delicious, so I'd like to come back for dinner next time.

I've been passing by before, but I've never been inside, so I finally decided to go. When I entered, there were a lot of people, and I was lucky to get a seat as there were just a few empty seats, but it's definitely better to make a reservation. The cost performance is good, and even though it was very busy, the staff at the store were very nice. As I was gathering my umbrella at the entrance before entering the store, a lady quickly handed me a rubber band. I feel like I can work
I liked the stir-fried meat, it was very tender. There was a lot of rice, so it would be best to ask for half of it when ordering, but it was so delicious that I thought I might have been able to eat more than I expected. Unfortunately, the tea was weak and the rice was not tasty.
The almond tofu has just the right amount of firmness and a hint of amaretto. Personally, I like thick and rich pudding, so next time I would like to try mango pudding.

Can you call it the station building in front of the station? This store is located right next to the station, where there are several restaurants and a supermarket in the basement.

I didn't have any advance information and just stopped by, but the place was almost full at around 1pm.
There were quite a lot of solo customers, and even among the multiple customers, there were a lot of women and relatively elderly madams. It seems like this store is used by people who have a certain number of items, as the price is just the price.

the Sichuan style. As the name suggests, it's spicy, and from the first bite you can feel the numbness from the spicy pepper.
The unique bitterness of the spices and the umami of the ground meat and vegetables combine to make it taste bitter at first bite, but after the second, it's delicious.

After your tongue feels numb, you eat the flavored bean sprouts and pressed vegetables on the small plate. Strangely enough, you can feel the strong umami flavor and it tastes even better.
It's great that it's delicious until you stop eating. It's scary to think that the menu was so calculated lol.
