We decided to celebrate my mother's graduation with the whole family, so we went to [Nishiki] at the Gakshikaikan, where we used to have our grandson's first meal.
The attentive service that meets customer needs is top-notch.
That alone is enough for a special occasion banquet, but the seasonal kaiseki cuisine is also very satisfying.

Came in for lunch on a weekday.
I ordered the two-color gozen lunch.
It was a set meal of boiled fish.

The water level of the rice wasn't quite right for me, and the shrimp and miso soup was a bit strong, but the fish was very tasty.

The atmosphere of the historic building, the veteran and calm staff, and the reasonable price, but very high-class feel, made me very satisfied.
Sherbet after a meal is also nice.

It looks like it will be demolished next year for rebuilding.
It's a shame because it's a nice building. I want to come eat again.

This is a Japanese restaurant located inside the Academic Hall. There is a plain wood entrance with a Japanese design inside the Western-style building.
At lunchtime, there are set meals such as sashimi, tempura, and sushi, and the Monday-only seafood bowl is especially recommended.
Lunchtime, with its calm atmosphere and impeccable service, can be a luxury during this busy time of year.

Private room fee, starter meal and celebration sea bream are free. We also received commemorative photos of our families.
There was also a ceremony to begin the meal in the Gakusha Kaikan style (?).
