The meal at Sushi Rinda was absolutely fantastic; approachable, while still challenging to try new and different things (the filefish liver was delicious). It left us feeling quite full and satiated. The head chef for our seating, Hiroshi, spoke some English and, with the help of other guests and Google Translate, we were able to get a great idea of what we were eating and experiencing. Food aside, the atmosphere and experience at Sushi Rinda was phenomenal. While the chefs took the sushi seriously, they did not take themselves too seriously, making for a night filled with jokes, antics, and laughter. To add further complexity to the experience, my wife and I were traveling with our 6-month old daughter. The staff at Sushi Rinda were extraordinarily accommodating and welcoming. All the staff, from hostesses to chefs, doted on our kiddo, culminating in Hiroshi carrying her off for a tour of the kitchen at the end of the meal.
We enjoyed an incredible sake flight with our generous dining companions. Only issue is now I am obsessed with finding that sake back in the United States! A tall order to fill. If anyone has suggestions on how to find the attached sake - please share!
I look forward to coming back to Tokyo and visiting Sushi Rinda once again.
