The warmest service recieved by a true master of his profession. Thank you chef Ota, for giving me the best sushi experience of my life. It was educational at the same time as it elevated my standards after dining here. The rice temperature warmed in chefs hand combined with the cooler fish brushed with the tare of choice, then from chefs hand to me within seconds is an experience 2nd to none. The experience was faultless. Being such an intimate space(9 counter seats total), is quite an experience too. Actually it’s only a 2 person restaurant, chef Ota and his wife, thats all. Michelin stars don’t seem to phase them as they are so humble and unassuming. A benefit is that chef Ota can converse in a bit of English. Do not hesitate to dine here, it’s life altering.
This restaurant reset my expectations for Japanese cuisine forever.

The taishou at Kiraku is the epitome of a sushi master. Not only is he a master at his craft, he enlightened us with knowledgeable tidbits in regard to the preparations and thoughts of a sushi chef. He was engaging, funny and down to earth. Throughout the night he shared with us many stories and conversations that we won't ever forget.

Lets talk about the meal. In total we had 20 servings of different sushi, many of which we have never tasted in our life which was a fresh and tasty experience that lasts long after your meal is finished.

I wholeheartedly recommend Sushidoroko Kiraku for your Omakase experience if you are in Tokyo.

Outstanding - the best sushi I’ve ever had, and extremely affordable pricing. Chef speaks great English, is very friendly and explains the whole meal to you as you go. If you’ve been wanting to have a great omakase in Tokyo this place is the one to go to. You can book on Pocket Concierge.

Visited a few years ago and it was the most amazing sushi experience ever. I can't believe I forgot to leave a review! The chef and his wife(and his assistant who was female which I loved to see!) were gracious hosts and guided us through a wonderful omakase dinner. I cannot recommend Kiraku enough, especially when you consider the cost and value versus spots closer in the city center. The amazing and fresh food, the intimate seating, the professionalism- this had it all.
