My boyfriend ate here as I don’t eat seafood. He enjoyed it but it wasn’t the best sushi he’s had. We found this place because there were lots of locals lining up outside.

I had the homemade tofu and to me, it was awful. Tofu is tasteless in itself but it was like a very rubbery hard jello. And of course, zero taste, so the texture and zero taste combination made me gag when I tried it. But hey, if that’s your favorite texture—go for it.

But the most important thing is the fish and it looked very fresh. They offered English menus and the prices were very reasonable.

The store front sign is in Japanese and in general English was a challenge. But their sushi was delicious. We had the Jo-Zushi combo (1900 yen) and the Tokujo-Zushi combo (2500 yen). The fish was fresh, diverse and pretty. These came with a miso soup each BUT if you order miso soup they have 3 variants - I ordered the seaweed (nori) and it was green, unique and tasty. A neat feature was that we sat on the floor but there was a pit under the table so it was comfier with legroom so more comfy than just sitting on the floor. Some of us were really impressed by the cucumber sushi for some reason it just felt fresher and crunchier than expected.

We got to sit in front of the senior sushi chef and watch him in action. They have a menu in English. We ordered the sushi set and maguro,salmon and tai sashimi. Everything was delicious.
