This restaurant serves sushi, sashimi and cooked fish in a quieter part of touristy Arashiyama. They serve seasonal seafood in a wide variety of cooking style. I enjoyed every item that was served and the friendly service. I hope to go back to try their ayu sushi next time.

We were incredibly lucky to have gotten seated after arriving an hour after opening with a reservation. The couple after us got turned away since the restaurant had no more availability.

The sushi taste is special with a vinegar taste and the ingredients is fresh ð. We enjoy every dishes here . Before leaving , the chef apologised to us for the long waiting time when he was preparing the dishes . I reply that we are enjoying & the sushi is delicious . Waiting & seeing him preparing the sushi was like a art ð. We will definitely come back if we visit Arashimaya Kyoto again.
