Naha

Japanese: Izakaya

Dachibin Description

Located in Naha, Okinawa, Dachibin is a charming izakaya that has been renovated from a traditional Okinawan house. The restaurant exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of dining at a friend's home. What sets Dachibin apart is its extensive selection of over 60 types of awamori (Okinawan distilled spirit) and the use of locally sourced ingredients in their Okinawan cuisine.

One of the standout dishes at Dachibin is the popular 'Red Pork Shabu-Shabu,' featuring tender slices of red pork cooked in a flavorful broth. The menu also boasts a wide array of a la carte options and specialty courses, such as the must-try 'Dachibin 11-Item Course' which includes a variety of Okinawan delicacies and can be enjoyed with a drink-all-you-can option for a great value. The restaurant offers a range of seating options, including private sunken kotatsu tables, counter seats, and terrace-style tables, allowing guests to experience the essence of Okinawa in every corner of the establishment.

We ordered tons of food. They're all taste good.
We also drank 3-5 rounds of beer and high ball.
The staff あかり and the girl from Nepal are very helpful and nice. Spend around 3000 yen per person. We have a very happy night here.

Suggest to visit if you are around. =)

Cozy izakaya popular with the locals. The staff were super welcoming and patient with us even with our lack of Japanese skills. They also gave us an English menu to consult. Everything tasted very fresh and made to order, especially the sea grapes and the raw fish in the salad we ordered. They’ve also got plenty of other local specialities, and a wall full of traditional Okinawan alcohol.
Clean toilets equipped with mouthwash, dental floss, sanitary pads etc.
They accept foreign cards, too

You can enjoy great local food. Goat's testicle sashimi was so so to me. Some may like it, not me😅
