I would call this French Fusion rather than strictly French. That said however eating at the Garden was the best dining experience my wife and I have had in Japan by far! The servers were solicitous and kind, answering our questions in great detail and smoothly replacing our drinks and silverware in an unobtrusive manner.
They also had a server who spoke English well, and have us background on some of the more unique ingredients.
The price point isn't such that we will be back frequently, but we do want to come back for special occasions!

Great place and great experience, of course it's pricey but you have fine dishes, quality ingredients and a good wine.
