Deserving of its spot on Asia’s Top 50 Bars. Upon entrance, you’ll be greeted with coat hanging service. Once seated, you’ll be presented with a refreshing hot towel.
There is no menu at this bar so bartenders will try to tailor a drink for you. Would recommend their signature Negroni and the “Beginning” which they are proud of.
Try to spot their 2 additional hidden rooms if you can. Note there is a ¥550 cover charge here.

We found this place by accident! Turns out it is #23 of Asia Best 50 in 2023. This place doesn’t really offer menu for the drinks. Mixologist simply asking your preference with surprise!
Thanks for the amazing cocktails !

We came to the Lamp Bar after a wonderful day exploring Nara, We were served by Amane and Kei who served us the best cocktails we've ever had.
We definitely recommend visiting this bar if you are looking for a fancy beverage as they are able to make any cocktail on request and the drinks are all reasonably priced.
P.S you should ask about the secret rooms as they have a few 😊

After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to see what it was like for ourselves. Although it's not the easiest place to find (off the main drag and around the back of a building), we were delighted to be able walk in (no line up) and grab the last 2 seats available in the main space. Our server asked us what we liked and we went with his recommendations - which were tasty and quite interesting. After I told him I liked paper planes, negronis, and drinks containing various kinds of amaro (as long as they are not too sweet), he brought me a clear (!!) negroni made with a house made "Campari". It was quite unusual and tasty and served poured over a large beautifully shaped block of ice. For my wife he suggested a mezcal-based drink which she really enjoyed, and I finished with a light and tasty espresso martini. And despite our concerns about the drinks possibly being quite pricey, we felt Y6700 for 3 tasty cocktails served in a very pleasant atmosphere was quite reasonable.
