Nara Nikon

Had a great and special dinner here after meeting the owners at another Nara restaurant and asking if it was possible to have lunch at their restaurant.

The staff was extremely friendly and did their best to make me feel comfortable altough i did not speak Japanese which isnt the market they aim for.

The lunch was great with grilled conger eel and prume sauce and the cured mackrel nigiri being high points in my book.

The most popular Japanese restaurant in Nara.
I made a reservation 3 months in advance.
It has an elegant exterior with a fireplace in front.
Enjoying your meal while watching the chef prepare it at the center of the counter is a special experience.
I got an early taste of spring in Nara.

I've lived in Osaka for over 20 years, but this was my first time coming to Nara by train! ?

Arrive from Kintetsu Namba Station to Kintetsu Nara Station within 40 minutes ∑(ﾟДﾟ)

Wow, I was surprised at how close it was! ️😅

The food was delicious as rumored (*^◯^*)

The store staff were also very friendly 🙆

However, I think I drank around 7 types of alcohol, but unfortunately I was only able to post 2 types because it was out of focus or I forgot to take pictures.

Also, since it was a private room, I couldn't see the craftsman's live experience, so I couldn't fully experience the quality of the shop.

It's a 2 Michelin star restaurant with a Tabelog score of 4.13 (as of December 13th), so I think it would have been even more amazing if I had eaten and eaten at the counter.

When I asked a young chef I know about delicious restaurants, he said,

Even though I had never heard of it, when I tried to go there, I couldn't get a reservation at any of the restaurants, so it was difficult to get one (T_T)
If we didn't do well, there were some restaurants that told us they would be fully booked for up to a year in advance.
Somehow, I was able to conquer all the reservations at the timing of the cancellation, and this time,

This is the first time I've given all 5 stars to this restaurant (-person-)✨

Under the premise that the higher the price, the better the taste,
However, there are many stores where this is not the case.

However, this “Jima” was truly delicious from beginning to end!!!
Be elaborate,
The staff, including the owner, don't look at you from above (there are other restaurants where you can just eat the food and it's delicious).
Smiling and having fun talking about poop to customers.
Even though it was only a first glance for us, we were treated like regulars and had a pleasant time.
It's a restaurant that really makes me want to come again, so I'm thinking of making a reservation right away (-people-;)
(However, even if I try to make a reservation, I can't make a reservation until one year in advance.)

I didn't know about it, but this is the first time I've seen the badge you get if you're listed in Michelin!f(^_^;
It looks like it's going to come out in a gacha gacha, but it's something you can't get unless you reach a certain level, and I saw it as a valuable item.
