Latteria Bebe Kamakura

What an awesome discovery in Kamakura! We casually discovered this place while wandering around the place and we immediately went to check it out.

It was weekend so the place was fully booked but the waiter told us that we could write our names on the waiting list and come back. We were lucky, as we had the opportunity to eat.

The pizza, delicious as well as the pasta. Tasty, very original yet stick to Italian tradition. 👏🏻👏🏻

Shoutout to their burrata! Deliziosa!

This restaurant has a lot of tables so it was relatively easy to be seated compared to nearby places. The lemon pasta were excellent. The rest of the dishes were enjoyable but not as good. The margherita sauce was a bit dull, lacked acidity, and the fresh mozzarella was not as refreshing as expected, a bit salty or something.

Great pizza - loved the cheese! I was a solo traveller so wasn’t able to order more than just a pizza and it’s amazing! The shop sells burrata at the counter too so I imagine that’s what this place is famous for. Travelled from Tokyo for the pizza and it’s worth it.

I went on a Saturday at 1pm ish and there was a queue - being just on my own I was able to get a counter seat immediately so solo diner please don’t get discouraged by the queue!

Fantastic food particularly their pizzas! Burrata was fantastic. Salad was great. Extensive menu options. Mostly in Japanese and Italian but easy enough to translate. Atmosphere is fantastic great date location! Or an anniversary celebration. We sat on the lanai. They had a heater stove and each table had an individual heater .. so Winter is no issue. Reservations needed! I saw them turn away 4 families that showed up with no reservations. And that was on a weeknight. Highly RECOMMEND!!

A must visit while visiting Kamakura, they produce their own cheese and is simply amazing. The pizza is made in a traditional oven with wood-fire. There are some Italian-Japanese fusion dishes that are also a must try.

The Cinque Formagie pizza and burrata salad are must-tries.

Only watch out is that there is no way to book a table and waiting times on weekends are challenging. My recco would be to pass by and jot down your name on the list as soon as you are in Kamakura and come back in a few hours.
