Lucky Pierrot Goryokaku Koen Mae Branch

When I visited this branch, the restaurant was not really packed so we got a seat immediately. The portion was big and very filling. I like the taste, and their Chinese Fried Chicken is definitely a must try. Decorations and interior were a bit quirky for me.

I got the Chinese Chicken Burger with cheese added (Matsu). The cashier was a kindly old lady. The chicken was truly delicious, but the interior decor was really the icing on the hamburger(?)! Although I'm not sure why it's angel themed...

As a fast food joint, you have to clear your food after you're done eating, but the waiter calls out your order number and brings the food to you.

If you're ever in Hakodate, please stop by one of these local clown-based burger joints that you can only eat here! They even sell Lucky Pierrot merch in the shop. The clown posed outside is always distinctive from a street away...

Tried the cheeseburger and their no. 1 chicken burger as well as their fries and karaage.

Loaded Fries feels like a poutine with less sauce.

Cheese Burger has a decent meat patty with an exceptionally pairing of meat sauce and cheese.

Karaage is great here with a crispy exterior and juicy chicken (which also carries the no.1 burger)

As for drinks, melon soda is a tad too sweet for me personally and the oolong tea is fine.

Atmosphere is great with lots of branded merch and feels like an American diner.

The whole place is interesting and the food is good if you're craving for authentic American style hamburgers and fried food. This chain is also found only in Hakodate so it's pretty popular. I ordered the Bacon Egg Burger and Egg Burgers which are both good. Their fries are fried really well although cut too big for my taste, their tebasaki or wings are also awesome, as well as their soft cream cones. Service staff are senior citizens but very polite, even with foreigners. Menus are written in English but they have so much on the menu, try to take the time to read through it first before you order at the register.
