honestly we wanted to go to Uemura but they only open for lunch, and we coulnt make it so we came here instead
got unagi-don, normal size
took about 20-30 minutes for the food to come out and we DEVOURED n finished the meal in 10 minutes

Found it accidentally on the way back to Kumamoto. And it coincides with the end of 2023. There is an announcement on the Internet that the business hours have been adjusted. We still went to try our luck.
When I arrived at the door, I thought I was on annual leave.
Until I saw the smoke... I ran down to ask. It's actually open for business. It feels a lot like the on-the-spot exploration of Hi Taxi on Fukuoka TV in Japan😀
When you arrive at the door, you can smell the strong aroma of coke, which is very tempting to your appetite.
It looked like we were the only tourists.
I like this authentic one best. There are not many tourist food reviews. You can eat authentic food.
There are two ways to present eel rice here. The staple food is eel grilled or grilled with sauce, and the rice is also steamed or served with white rice.
We ordered both set meals, and also ordered a simple grilled eel (a special feature).
Very tasty. The flavor of the side dishes is very Japanese.
We couldn't stop eating it with the fragrance in our teeth and cheeks.
The price is also very affordable. Very recommended.

When I happened to visit Hitoyoshi, I wanted to eat eel, but this was the only restaurant open that day.
I had steamed steamer. It will be steamed after you order it, so of course there will be some waiting time. That added a lot of flavor to the rice, and it stayed piping hot until the end. I'm familiar with Yanagawa eel, so I'll be comparing it to that, but I found the seasoning to be refreshing. The meat is plump and goes well with rice. It came with liver soup and unakyuu (vinegared cucumber with eel).
Next time, I would like to enjoy the aroma of kabayaki sauce with eel bowl or eel jug.
