There are numerous authentic Japanese restaurants dotted around Kutchan town, but randomly coming across this ramen joint was perhaps a truly unexpected surprise and pleasure. Watching what I can only guess to be the matriarch of the family, personally preparing each bowl of ramen, and seeing the entire family working together to serve up what is possibly one of the most delicious bowls of super spicy miso soup ramen I have ever eaten, with 5 soft and chunky slices of freshly boiled pork slices (I saw Grandma pulling out of the pot in the kitchen a freshly boiled slab of pork!)

Unbelievably cheap, considering the quality, and accompanied by five soft, exquisitely tasty gyoza. Cannot recommend this place enough! (Warning: the miso based soup I ordered was a little bit on the salty side)

Stumbled on Nakama Ramen after a day of shopping in Kutchan. It hit the spot - with everyone in our group satisfied with their order. Super friendly and helpful staff in a homey atmosphere. Would recommend.
Note cash only.

Glad we drove half hour to this lovely ramen diner with equally delicious fried rice for our 7yo. Large portions with thick slices of cha shu.

Awesome ramen eatery. Spicy onion miso ramen was tasty , not too salty and the portion (chasu) was generous! Rice with curry n gyoza was awesome too. Staff were very friendly and eatery has a very local few. Price is ok too and english menu available. Worth the visit!! Thank you NAKAMA RAMEN!
