We had an amazing afternoon tea here. The shop is a little bit off the beaten path and there is no English menu outdoors but they do have one once you’re seated. Got two dessert sets with roasted tea. The tea was beautifully flavored, not bitter at all. The desserts weren’t too sweet (ultimate Asian compliment!). Ambiance was terrific, it was very quiet and clean with a nice garden view. Went around 1:00pm and nobody else was there but started to get busier as we were leaving.

This place offers traditional shredded ice, which if I remembered correctly, was also one of the speciality in Nara. It tastes very good, and the ambience was very comfortable. There were other desserts offered here, and they also look very good, would try next time

We went here last Nov 20, 2017. The shop is nice and cozy inside, the wagashi (pictures included) are a-mazing, and the staff were very polite and helpful! After we bought our take home box and were walking a good 20 meters away from the store, a staff came running after us thinking we were the ones who left this bag of goods. When we told her it wasn't ours, she apologized for 'bothering' us, when she was the one who was catching her breath from running after us. I'd certainly come back to this wagashi shop when I get the chance. :)

Amazing ice! The apricot ice was insanity. Ice was fluffy and the flavour was distributed evenly through every bite. Best ice I had in my trip to Japan.
