Niigata Katsudon Tarekatsu Honten

I had stumbled upon this place while staying in the area and what a local find! The Katsu here was delicious and definitely more of local spot away from the busy streets.

Food: ordered a Pork Fillet Katsu, Prawn, Vegetable-Don & it was a delicious and hearty meal. Came with a side of miso-soup which was perfect for a rainy day.

Service: Staff was friendly and service was quick.

Atmosphere: Bit of smaller restaurant with limited seating, but it adds to the charm and vibe of this place as a quaint local spot.

A few things to know:
1. There is an English menu.
2. Credit Cards are accepted at the time of this review.

Came here Wednesday evening and was seated right away.

Cheap and delicious! Went late Sunday afternoon and it was terrific. Pork katsu and prawns were the highlight!

Tarekatsu was very precisely made, crispy, and tasty as well. The chef was very kind and hospitable,making our experience very enjoyable. Great experience and would go again.
