The Shanghai wontons are very plump and filled with plenty of fillings. I bought a mixed version with four fresh shrimps and four shiitake mushrooms. The wontons have thick skin, are smoky and tough, and have a lot of fillings. The shrimp version is also fresh. The price is 920 yen per box, and it comes with soup and even fresh green onions😆

The word ``wanton'' in Shanghai is written as ``餛飩'' and is said to be a lucky charm that resembles the golden coin of the Yuan era, ``jinyuanbao.''

When I was invited to go on a Kamata gyoza tour, I decided to go to a Shanghai wonton specialty store because there was a restaurant I had always wanted to go to, even though it wasn't a dumpling.
In addition to wonton, they also have spring rolls.

I've been wanting to eat there ever since I visited before, but I never had the chance to order takeout.

I bought 2 servings of a mix of shrimp wonton and shiitake mushroom wonton and 1 serving of shrimp wonton.
Each serving comes with soup and green onions.

Contains shrimp, bok choy, pork, and chicken.

Shiitake mushroom wonton
Although it is a shiitake mushroom wonton, it has the texture of bamboo shoots, green bok choy, and pork and chicken, so it has a meaty texture.

Apparently each wonton weighs 30g, so it was surprisingly heavy when I took it home.

I kept it frozen when I bought it, but I was tired the next day, so I decided to make it.

Warm up the wonton soup in a pot and put it in a bowl.
Finally, if you garnish with the green onions that are also included, the greenery will look great, and you won't believe how easy and quick it was to make.
Both the wonton and the soup have rich flavors.
The richness of the sesame oil is also nice.

One serving of 8 pieces is quite filling.
However, it's best to eat as much as you can from the beginning, so you just have to anticipate.

This is a store that I've been interested in for a while since I was walking there.
It costs just under 1,000 yen for one person, so I thought it was expensive so I couldn't get my hands on it.
One cold day, I wanted to have some hot soup, so I decided to take the plunge and give it a try.

If the store owner asked me if it was boiled, would I wait? When I asked about it, I was told that it would take about 8 minutes, and that I would like to eat it within 10 minutes, so they recommended raw wontons, so I bought raw wontons with shrimp. Comes with soup.

When I got home and opened it, I was surprised.
Each one is very large and tightly packed. And what a beautiful form.
It's not the flimsy wontons I've eaten so far, and I'm satisfied with the price.
It says it's for 1 person, but it's just right for 2 people.

Of course the taste was delicious!
The soup was not too flavorful and was just right.
Next time I'll try the shiitake wontons.
