I always buy this for souvenirs
It's delicious, and I don't think many people would buy it for themselves.

I received it as a souvenir from a friend in Nara. The skin is thin and just the right amount of moisture, and there's plenty of delicious filling that isn't too sweet.
Is the size about 4cm square? I don't like sweet things, but this was delicious. It's really delicious.

Mimuro specialty store is one of the oldest in Japan.

There are only two stores in Miwa and this one.
They are also sold at the souvenir shop inside the JR Nara Station building, but they are sold in boxes.

Here you can buy individual pieces.

I didn't like monaka, but I thought this monaka was delicious. It tastes best when served with green tea.
