An authentic and lovely restaurant. The gyoza here are the best we've had in Japan. Very friendly and a pleasure watching them make the food right in front of you. So fresh!

1. Hygiene ; The moment I sat down, I saw a huge rat roaming the kitchen floor.

2. Everybody is raving about gyoza, but I ordered Taiwan Ramen, which looked tasty enough in the picture.

3. What arrived on my table was nothing like the one in the picture. The taste wasn't bad per se, but it was nothing like what I saw in the picture. What a waste of 800 yen.

Pros:
good amount of seats, juicy dumplings, relatively fast service, affordable (700yen for 6 pieces, rice, soup, and a little pickled vegetable)

Cons:
the skin is thicker than most, rice is a little dry, the ambience is too quiet, and I saw a little bug crawling next to my seat (it is summer after all, so it's ok)

If you want to get full on dumplings and really enjoy a chewy gyoza, I recommend this shop. If you prefer thinner gyoza, I suggest going elsewhere.

I had to look up the name of this place and write a review because I am still dreaming about the gyoza a month after we returned from our trip to Japan. The gyoza here was truly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. The ramen was delicious too. If/when we return to Japan in the future, I would go out of my way to come back here. 10/10 recommend!!!
