The shop where we were supposed to have dinner was already closed and accidentally discovered this very nice sushi shop in Hakone. We ordered their 10pcs Gen-Sen Nigiri sushi, Futo-Maki and sake on glass. The sushi are absolutely delicious.
There were patrons already at the bar which were really friendly to us and even with our limited japanese they were trying to converse with us. A lady who speaks English very well joined our table and had a chat with us. She's very kind and even offered help as she learned we will be travelling to Odawara where she's from.
The chef and staff are very friendly and would definitely come back.

First visit. They welcomed us even with children.
I didn't have high expectations before my visit, but I was completely wrong.
Personally, the local black-throat fish was the best. It had a good amount of fat and was slightly seared, so it had a good texture and was very delicious.
I had a side dish called maki instead of kohada, which also had a good texture and brought out the flavor of the light fish, which goes well with sake.
Also, when I asked for Sayori as a nigiri, they served it to me with the skin grilled on a skewer. You can also eat as much as you want.
I wanted to have more fun, but my child got restless and other customers kept coming in, so I had to leave early. I would definitely like to visit again.

For the past few years, I have been stopping by for lunch and dinner every time I go to Hakone. This is the only sushi restaurant in Hakone where you can enjoy not only sushi but also fresh, local, rare fish. The atmosphere between the owner, who has a high level of craftsmanship, and the friendly proprietress, Aun, is exquisite. If you are an adult, please come at the counter! If you are traveling with children, it is good manners to seat 4 people! The price is also very reasonable ♪ I will come again!
