Tonkatsu Taihou

5 stars for variety - loved that I could get a filet+scallop combo. Set menu seemed to be an extra miso soup.

5 star-ish for flavor: I felt like maybe this was TOO luxuriously made tonkatsu. The meat was so tender, fat so evenly spread out in the meat, and Panko flakes so fine and fried… I felt like I needed something more to cut through the richness.

The pork and chicken tonkatsu are unbelievably tender and juicy. They are simply melting in your mouth! My wife and i just can't get enough of it. Owner of the shop is super friendly too. Definitely a Must Try if you're in Meguro!!

Excellent tonkatsu. For a counter set-up, almost elegant, granite maybe, attractive ceramic dishes, a cup of thick matcha. Pork fillet crisp and light. Better than Tonki imo though tricky for groups obviously.
