/ Price RangeAt Yururi, we serve a very reasonably priced range of primarily Japanese ‘Kyoto Cuisine’ dishes.
We locally source our grilled seafood and sashimi seasonally, often straight from the Gotō Islands in Nagasaki as well as from Maizuru right here in Kyoto. We exclusively use seasonal Kyoto Vegetables, prized above all others throughout Japan and now around the world. Locally sourced meat, including beef, pork and chicken is prepared daily.
Our course menus generally start with three ‘Chef’s Daily’ starters, three types of sashimi and continue with grilled, steamed, simmered and mixed rice dishes featuring the best available local seasonal ingredients. In addition to the seasonal multi course options available, everything prepared daily is available to order Ala Carte.

Yururi is a Japanese restaurant with a tranquil, casual ambience catering to both a sophisticated palate as well as to families. Here in the treasured world of Kyoto, the heart of Japan and its ‘culinary center’, we serve lunch by reservation only and dinner by reservation or walk-in. Unwind, relax or celebrate in intimate small parties or groups of up to 40, often on short notice. Schedule one of our two private rooms if you’d prefer without an additional surcharge.
We incorporate fresh, locally sourced farm-to-table vegetables, eggs, fish, meat and herbs in a wide range of dishes. Experience our chef’s prix fixe menus, offering all-you-can-drink options with them. Or explore our extensive à la carte menu. We happily cater to your budget. Our head chef/owner and staff are incredibly friendly and dedicated to ensuring you have a fantastic dining experience.
Augmenting a unique and creative blend of local ‘Kyoto Cuisine’, we also offer a variety of ‘western’ inspired meat, fish, pasta, starter dishes and a daily handmade Italian pizza. Or request pizza off the menu with whatever’s available. We’re committed to your satisfaction. We even offer French fries to keep the kids happy - for the ‘little’ kids AND the ‘big’ kids too! (That includes some of us.)
