What an incredible dining experience at はてな! This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Japanese comfort food. We had the okonomiyaki and yakisoba, both cooked to perfection by the owner at our table which has a hot metal grill. The flavors were absolutely amazing, and you could taste the love and care put into every bite.

The owner was very kind and guided us through the entire experience, making us feel right at home. Their hospitality truly added to the charm of this cozy, intimate restaurant.

A few important tips:
- The restaurant is cash only, so come prepared.
- There’s a staircase leading up to the restaurant, and it’s easy to miss, so keep an eye out! I’ve attached photos and videos to help you find it.
- The space is small and can only accommodate a handful of customers at a time, so be prepared to come back later if it’s full.

Trust me, it’s worth the wait! I can’t recommend はてな enough—this is a place you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes.

This location was hard to find, tucked away in what seemed like a mixed residential unit with very subtle sign in black text okonomiyaki in Japanese outside and is actually located up the stairs on the third floor as Google does not specify this.

Once you find this place, you'll be greeted with the most hospitable staff in which was an older gentleman that was extremely friendly and welcoming but does not speak English.

Had the most wholesome amazing experience, they make the okonomiyaki fresh in front of you with whatever ingredients you wish. We went with the recommended mix okonomiyaki that had a bit of everything. Katsuobushi is available on the table to apply to your liking.

Cute homey aprons are provided to you but be warned the table itself gets extremely warm and the food may platter when mayonnaise is on the okonomiyaki.

They only take cash here but I would highly recommend it for it's home-like hospitality and vibes.

very old school atmosphere and staff was very nice and polite. I recommend okonomiyaki & yakisoba mix. the portion is very suitable for 2 person. the staff will do the food for us. very full delicious and joyful .

Awesome place for Okonomiyaki, I can see why many say it's one of the best.
Was lucky to accidentally book a hotel literally next door, so was easy to get there. It is on the 3rd Floor.
Atmosphere is great, you can even meet some locals coming here at times.
Prices aren't high for what you get.
Definitely recommend this okonomiyaki restaurant. Grab a beer or a drink and enjoy your time here.
