I went to buy a lunch box. I wanted to get Matsutaro bento, but unfortunately it was sold out.
I had no choice but to make it a daily lunch box. It was voluminous and satisfying. I also bought various side dish sets and side dishes. The seasoning was very good and it was delicious.

It's been a while since I last visited Matsutaro to buy some side dishes. It seemed like the store had changed somehow, and I was disappointed that they only sold bread and sweets. They said that they would be selling bento boxes starting in October, but it would be nice if they would continue to sell the healthy and nutritious side dishes that they used to give to nursing homes at a reasonable price. I could see at least a few people there, so I'm sure the management has changed.
Previously, a friendly uncle was serving customers by himself, so I think he was able to sell at a reasonable price.

Please note that we currently do not have bento boxes or side dishes like those mentioned in the reviews.

As of March 2022, we are only open for bento sales due to the coronavirus pandemic. Multiple types of colorful bento boxes were on sale. Every bento is full of side dishes.
In particular, the takikomi rice made with the local specialty Matsutaro is simple, but the taste is impressive.

Visited after 10:30.
Since they had all kinds of bento boxes, I decided on the colorful one I was looking for.
It's worth 600 yen with so much in it.
Matsutaro's cooked rice is delicious with the flavor of mushrooms, and I feel lucky that it also has charred rice in it.
There are also many side dishes, all of which are not too strong or too light and have just the right amount of seasoning.It's a dish you'll want to eat every day. Thank you for the delicious meal.
