🌟 Our dining experience at Restaurant Sola in Fukuoka for my wife's birthday was nothing short of spectacular! Perched on the 2nd floor of Bayside Place Hakata, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Fukuoka seaside 🌊. Despite our language differences, as we don’t speak Japanese, the staff were incredibly helpful and patient, clearly explaining each dish 🗣️🍽️. The restaurant was fully booked on a Tuesday night, yet it felt spacious and the ambiance was welcoming 🤗. The French-Japanese fusion cuisine was exquisite 🍴🇯🇵🇫🇷, and the surprise music box with dessert made the evening even more special for my wife 🎵🎂. The thoughtful souvenir chopsticks 🥢 were a lovely touch. This celebration set a high bar for next year, and I highly recommend Sola to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Fukuoka. ✨

A most superlative meal, with exceptional techniques and really creative use of excellent produce - I truly enjoyed myself here. Standout dishes include the salmon smoked with Sakura wood chips with a leeks and onion galette, a tempuraed cod with shirako and hamaguri sauce, and a really elegant chocolate cake with orange desert that wasn't too rich and handled just right.

Truly a fantastic experience at Sola. Every dish for me is a highlight. Even the focaccia bread is the best I have had and I had to ask for seconds! There are not many French-Japanese restaurants and this is one of the best and absolutely deserving of World’s 50 best and Michelin Stars… Quiet scenic location and extensive wine list. You’ll not be disappointed if you dine here!
