Our family had a fantastic lunch at Robert Dumas on August 9th, 2016! My husband and I used to eat at his old location in a suburb of Kanazawa before kids. It was a first time we visited since the restaurant moved to Higashichaya location. The chef was trained in 3 different 3-star michelin restaurants in France in 80’s.
My teenagers had 2900 yen/person course with a choice of fish or meat, and adults had 3900 yen/person course with both fish and meat main dishes. Appetizer, seafood carpaccio, Sautéed Japanese sea bass, duck, and dessert were fabulously delicious! His solid french technique with freshest local produce create truly amazing dishes! You can tell ingredients are really fresh and has full favors. We are all full and happy!
Lunch has choices of 2900 yen, 3900yen, 5900yen and 8500yen, for dinner you have 6500yen, 8500yen, and 1,1000 yen courses. 12 and under is not welcome at this restaurant, but my 12 year old was able to dine there. So know your kid. Non-smoking.
