The Udon Big Handmade Noodles

Handmade noodles “The Udon Big” is good value for money, lots of options on the menu, kid-friendly with little chairs and a children’s menu, and the staff were fast and friendly with their service. There is more than just udon on the menu so everyone in the family will find something to chow down on!

【exterior】
Turn left at the traffic light from the R254 bypass heading towards Tokyo.
These are roadside stores that are often found in local cities. The landmark is the large signboard that says "Koedo Steak and Udon."
The parking lot can accommodate 40 cars.

【Inside the store】
It's about the same size as a typical family restaurant in Tokyo. There are tatami rooms, table seats, and counter seats for solo guests. It seems like this restaurant is loved by the locals. Udon and steak seem to be the main dishes, but there was also a wide variety of izakaya menu items. I went on a Saturday around 2:30. Since it was after lunch time, the restaurant was empty. I think there were about 5 groups.

【cooking】
I ordered the Koedo Steak Set, which is the most popular menu item. A set of steak, rice, miso soup, and salad costs 1,280 yen.
It was delicious! The meat is cut into easy-to-eat pieces and delivered succulently on a griddle. The volume is also satisfying.
I ordered matcha warabi mochi for dessert. (300 yen) This also looks beautiful and delicious. It will refresh your mouth after eating fatty meat.

【others】
Other popular items on the menu include homemade hamburgers and pork cutlets. Many people came with their families.
The prices are reasonable and you will be satisfied.

It was my first time visiting, and it was delicious.
If possible, I would have liked to have a drink and snack on various things, but since I was in a car, I held back.
I often go to Izakaya Bic in Kamifukuoka, but I would like to come back to this restaurant as it is also a place where you can come just to eat.
Next time I would like to try the udon noodles that are also in the restaurant name.
It's a great store to have if you're in the neighborhood, as there are a lot of people using it with their families.

(August 2023) I use it once a month. The hamburger is delicious, but I think the udon is the main dish. Staminaudon also has quite a large amount of udon.

(June 2023) I used it alone on a weekday night. We close at 10pm, but last order is at 9pm. When I parked my car in the parking lot around 8:55 pm, the staff was about to turn off the large lantern at the entrance. As soon as I checked, I was told that it was the last order, so I hurried to the store. I was able to enjoy the delicious Stamina Udon. It's great that the raw eggs are half-boiled on the iron plate. However, the amount of meat was a little disappointing.
It felt like a family business, and I was impressed by the way the staff talked to each other like parents and children. You can use electronic payment or credit card. Although it is located a little off the main road, it seems to be a popular store, with the parking lot often filling up on weekends.
