A Michelin Star awarded restaurant situated near the Royal Palace in Heinouchicho of kyoto . It’s operated by the highly talented and locally born owner-chef Hiroyuki Aoike .
The restaurant which was designed and decorated by Yoshiaki Nakamura , a famous architect and also a master of Sukiya-zukuri, was a beautiful traditional Japanese wooden building in classic style .
The chef Hiroyuki Aoike prepared every dish to the finest detail with the careful choice of fresh ingredients . Moreover , the use of beautiful plates & utensils, the presentation of the dishes and the super skill of cooking techniques were all integrated in every course .
Excellent service and very delicious French cuisines!
It’s a hidden Kyoto pearl as well as a must visit and a re-visit when you are in Kyoto !

We enjoyed a magnum of vintage 2001 Chateau mouton Rothschild in this esteemed Restsurant Aoike during the second visit after the three years of furious COVID-19 pandemic!
Hope that the world will become normal again and the overseas tourists can again enjoy the beautiful French delicacy in this restaurant .


Amazing lunch experience, even without alcohol served it was superb. Do take a moment to look at the dishes.
