Hiroki

Came to know this store from its high ratings in Tabelog website for Okonomiyaki in Hiroshimaya. While enroute to Saijo, realised the train stops at this station.

Its a small shop just 10 minutes walk from the train station and manned by just 1 person; the chef himself. The store is dominated by the grill counter which took up almost half the store, with baseball manga on 1 corner.

Hiroshima okonomiyaki is made by layering flour mixture base, cabbage, bean sprouts, meat slices and letting the vegetables cook and collapse over time. Then a choice of udon or soba is stir fried and added to the okonomiyaki with egg on top and coated with a sweet savory sauce.

Its my first time having Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. portion is big. generous quantity of ingredients and reasonably priced.

This is a very popular okonomiyaki restaurant.
If you are going by car, this store is located on a very narrow road that is difficult to find.
It was a one-way street, and I think there were about 4 parking spaces in front of the store.
Only at the counter, the okonomiyaki noodles were simple, with fresh noodles, cabbage, and bean sprouts, but they were very delicious.

This is a timeless okonomiyaki that everyone loves!
There are only counter seats inside the store.

I feel that the green seaweed and pepper sprinkled on top are a good accent. It goes perfectly with sweet sauce.
The noodles inside are delicious! Cabbage is sweet!! ︎
Overall, it wasn't sticky, which I liked.

*If you are going by car, please be careful as the road in front of the store is one-way.
