We found this place by accident but were so glad we did. We had a light lunch of a Japanese style stuffed pancake, which was delicious a beer and the lemonade. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was well presented and delicious.

Excellent café where to relax and stay away from the crowds. This place is a hidden gem and it's incredibly snobbed by the tourists just because it's not on the main road, but 2' away from it. During a hot summer day, we stepped in here to have a refreshing shaved ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. We also had the Kyoto style Okonomiyaki. My girlfriend does not eat meat, so we asked for a vegetarian version and it was not a problem for the staff. Everybody was super kind with us and they spoke very good English (they also have an English menu, luckily). Most of the people inside were Japanese rather than foreigners. I would definitely go back again here, maybe for a tea next time!

Great place to avoid heat & very good service here.
Liked the shaved ice, there are variety Seemed a little small for a couple. But you can always order another one :) Neko monaka kit was interesting (build-your-own monaka). Kids loved making it.
