This was a jewel to visit during our Kyoto trip. The staff was so knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. The whiskey collection is top notch. Calling it just a bar is an understatement - the food is some of the best in Kyoto. Personal favorite: garlic bread and omelette rice. Highly recommend!

It’s a friendly bar. We only d’Iran English and they still we nice. Drinks too awhile though. And you can smoke inside here so just be prepared for that.

One of the best known bars in Kyoto. A lot of the former apprentices here have gone on to open their own bars. One of them is Bar Rocking Chair.
The 2nd floor has 2 main areas. To the left is a more private area for regulars. I think it is where the owner still bartends. To the right is where normal customers go.
This is a very well stocked bar. Lots of rare bottles. Their spirits selection is very impressive for a bar better known as a cocktail bar.
