A shop where you can taste traditional Japanese sweets. “Natsukan Tou”, which is available only in summer, is a delicacy. It feels like agar jelly made by scraping out the insides of summer tangerines, and is cold and sweet, with a bitter aftertaste like a citron. At 1,650 yen each, it's not really cheap, but I think it's worth trying at least once. It's a truly summer-like dessert, delicious, cute, and unique! There is a branch in Arashiyama and you can also purchase it in the basement of the department store. The Kitano Tenmangu branch has a relatively calm and quiet atmosphere. At first glance, the store seems so quiet that you wouldn't even know it's open, but be brave enough to open the door and go in. Due to store policy, you cannot eat the snacks you purchase inside the store, but it is perfect to ask the owner for a spoon and eat them on the bench near Kitano Tenmangu Shrine.
