Truly exceptional, point blank.
My partner and I were lucky to dine at Lurra while on holiday in Kyoto and it was a once in a lifetime experience.
I’m a firm believer of experiencing rather than reading, photographing, and heavily researching (hypocritical as I took photos of every single course, I know), but seriously take my word for it, this place is it.
If I could have a permanent seat at the counter, I’d happily invest. Thank you team!

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience. Every dish was so beautifully created, and beyond delicious. The tiniest of details thought through to ensure culinary perfection . The non alcoholic drinks pairing was as curated and considered as the alcoholic one. The LURRA team are a force to be reckoned with; outstanding teamship and just the most talented and pleasant people to spend an evening in total admiration of. We can’t wait to go back.

Simply excellent! I dine here for my 40th birthday last Saturday while visiting Kyoto.. Fusion of Japanese and international cuisine (French,Mexican.Italian influences). 12 dish course, each thoughtfully created combining excellent locally sourced ingredients. An explosion of flavours and textures in your mouth.
The drink pairings is great, and the atmosphere is relaxed and joyful. It was like having dinner with friends at home. Simply love it. Thanks Chef Jacob and all your amazing team for this unforgettable experience.
